ith five Delta-branded floorplans already in production, Alliance RV looks to disrupt the travel trailer segment much like what it’s done to the fifth-wheel and toy hauler markets.

According to Eric Bailey, Alliance RV’s product manager overseeing the Delta brand, the line could eventually grow to as many as 10 different configurations. Lengths will range from 26 feet up to 34 feet, with dry weights starting at about 5,500 pounds and topping out at up to 8,000 pounds. MSRP will start in the low $50,000 range.

One of those models, the 294RK, debuted at the Elkhart RV Open House and earned strong consideration as a Top 10 RV of the Year Finalist. The 294RK is a rear kitchen model measuring 33 feet, 11 inches long and 7,156 pounds (UVW).

“What we’ve done here is we’ve come out with a rear kitchen layout, but we’ve done something different,” Bailey said. “It’s a floorplan that you haven’t seen on the market in a travel trailer.” Equipment includes 26 feet of awning coverage, outside TV and a 25-inch griddle; inside, RVers will find everything from a full-size, full-height pantry with a swinging door to a 50-inch TV and 40-inch fireplace. “But really,” Bailey said, “it’s the layout and the feel and the space on the inside that is just awesome.”

Among the differentiators Bailey pointed to was the three-way switches on the awnings and slideouts, allowing owners to simply press a button located just inside the front pass-through storage to monitor their operations and ensure it won’t hit a tree or other hinderance. Other highlights include a large amount of outside storage, two different convenience centers in the pass-through, multiple hot and cold spray ports, tall ceiling heights with a straight roof line, a pullout trashcan in the kitchen of every floorplan and a pullout pantry in most models.

Tiffin Motor Homes Midas 24MT

iffin Motor Homes is known for its big, luxurious motorhomes, but with the Midas 24MT the RV manufacturer shows it can build a quality motorhome loaded with amenities in a smaller package.

The Midas 24MT is built on the Ford 350 all-wheel-drive Transit cutaway chassis and powered by a Ford 3.5-liter EcoBoost 310-hp gas engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The motorhome’s two-tone, full-body paint job is sealed with two layers of clear coat, plus an additional high-performance film on the front of the coach. It features a Girard powered patio awning and flush-style tinted windows.

The strategic location of the couch with fold-out 60-by-72-inch Murphy bed in the driver’s side slide — combined with a pocket door at the entrance of the rear bathroom that can remain opened when not in use — creates a roomy feel inside of this 24-foot, 6-inch, $164,989 MSRP motorhome. “Putting that bathroom in the back really opens up the front as a living area,” said Kevin Kotros, Tiffin Class C national sales manager.

Handcrafted cabinetry throughout provides significant storage space. In the galley, the couch sits across from wood cabinetry housing a 43-inch LED Smart TV on a Televator. The small but functional kitchen comes with all of the basics, including a stainless-steel convection microwave, one-burner induction cooktop, 8-cubic-foot refrigerator and galley overhead compartments.

Located at the rear of the coach, the bathroom features a 34-by-34-inch wraparound shower enclosure with sliding glass door, an undermount porcelain sink with solid-surface countertop and a surprising large wardrobe closet. The Midas 24MT is equipped with a 200-watt solar panel with a 30-amp controller. It also features a 4kW Onan RV QG 4000 gas generator and a 2,000-watt inverter. Heating and cooling are provided via a 20,000-BTU ducted furnace and a 13,500-BTU air conditioner. A Truma AquaGo water heater fueled by propane provides the hot water.

Modern Buggy 12LRK

N

ew for Modern Buggy in 2024, the 12LRK — an entry in the ever-popular “adventure” or “overland’ travel trailer segment with 14 inches of ground clearance — weighs in at a svelte 1,600 pounds so it can be towed by virtually any small pickup or SUV.

“Really, anything that we do is aimed at making these lighter and more self-sufficient,” said Modern Buggy’s Chase Rhode. “You’ve got all Vixenite composite flooring, so no wood in the floor.” Dual-pane Azdel construction is employed, so there is Azdel both behind the fiberglass shell and on the inside walls. The unit also comes with a full fiberglass roof, which makes it leakproof and improves structural integrity.

The 23LRK features real birchwood cabinetry in the interior along with a fireplace, generous storage, a television, ample LED lighting, a Fogatti tankless water heater, an integrated air-conditioner and a MaxxAir Deluxe Fan. The rear kitchen features solid-surface countertops and all-weather composite cabinet construction. The sink head can be removed and a spray port added for an outdoor shower. The Camco cooler sits in a convenient slide-out tray and can be removed to be taken to the campsite. A removable Blackstone griddle is included in the rear kitchen. There’s also a removable 110-watt drop-leaf solar panel (with tether) from LightLeaf Solar.

In addition, there is a unique three-position sofa arrangement that allows seating, lounging and sleeping with a simple re-arrangement of the sofa cushions. “It’s a real separator in this segment,” Rhode said. “In this size and weight, you’re now looking at a California King-length bed.”

The 12LRK also can accommodate a rooftop tent, with an 800-pound capacity. Everything on the trailer is heavy duty and high-quality, Rhode added, including 300-pound stand-on fenders, Dexter torsion axles and off-road tires with a TPMS system. The 12LRK has a 12-foot box with a total length of just under 15 feet. MSRP is a $21,500.

onsumers in the market for a full-profile, luxury toy hauler at a competitive price point might want to take a tour of the new Takoda 35TH from Forest River division East To West RV. Several features set the Takoda apart from competitors, said Mark Krol, East To West general manager.

“We’re doing the square frameless windows,” he said. “They’re new from Cleer Vision and give a really sleek exterior look. But that’s just the beginning. We really went over the top with features and content on this.”

The list of features includes 860 watts of solar, a 3,000-watt inverter, three subwoofers, three amplifiers, head units and 12 speakers. The build includes slam latches on all compartment doors, hydraulic slideouts, 150 gallons of fresh water, two 30-gallon fuel tanks and gray and black tanks at 104-gallons each.

Other features include MORryde suspension and pin box, Cooper H-range tires, sideview and rearview cameras, large reverse-lighting spotlights, electric dump valves, retractable city water connection, easy access to all plumbing, improved vinyl-wrapped heat ducts and brass plumbing fittings.

The 13-foot garage features recessed tracks and multiple connection points, while a new ramp door and patio kit — with Girard awning — is easy to set up.

Inside, the $145,000 MSRP, 16,000-pound GVWR Takoda toy hauler draws a lot of the DNA from East To West’s Ahara luxury fifth-wheel, including waterfall edges on countertops, removable butcher block, pullout trash cans, large residential appliances, 7-foot-tall slideouts, three smart TVs, wood trim on the windows with day and night shades, seamless shower, body sprayers, sliding dresser top, stackable washer/dryer closet and motion sensor lighting.

“We went with everything on this fifth-wheel,” Krol said. “Really tried to give a luxurious residential-inspired interior with all the equipment you could put on a toy hauler on the exterior.”

Brinkley RV Model G 3950

t’s no secret that Brinkley RV has caught the attention of both consumers and the competitors alike. When the startup manufacturer debuted the Model Z last year, the premium fifth-wheel was noted for its automotive exterior, residential interior and more than a handful of industry-first features.

That same recipe was used for the Model G, a fifth-wheel toy hauler.

“Customers have been asking for more of a residential hauler, and what we’ve fought over the years is there’s always a huge sacrifice — usually it’s the outside storage,” explained Nate Goldenberg, the general manager overseeing the Model G. “Manufacturers can make the living area bigger, but it’ll encroach in everything going on outside. So, when we designed this, the tough part was we weren’t willing to sacrifice any of that storage.”

Needless to say, at 45 feet, 5 inches long and a GVWR of 21,500 pounds, the triple-axle 3950 ($206,100 MSRP when nicely equipped) has plenty of room.

Inside, the 3950 features an enormous wardrobe closet with washer/dryer prep, 70-x-80-inch king bed slide and three-piece bathroom including a 30-x-42-inch shower. Featuring opposing slides, the living/kitchen/dining occupies the mid-coach area and includes a U-shaped sectional sofa, 65-inch TV, fireplace below, GE Profile appliances, tons of cabinetry and a center island offering pullout trash bins and integrated cutting boards. Tucked in the campside slideout is a pull-out pantry/utility closet, 19-cubic-foot refrigerator and a very clever dining room table that quickly converts to an L-shaped desk.

The rear of the unit offers a 14-foot garage that can be used as additional living/entertaining space thanks to a half-bath with fold-away walls, loft space above, two Happi-Jac sofas with a Fold-N-Stow table in between and a bed on a power lift. Glass doors separating the garage from the ramp/patio means owners can enjoy the space without fear of the elements or insects.

Holiday Rambler Invicta 36Y/Fleetwood Fortis 36Y
Grey color themed kitchen and living area of RV from REV RV Group
D

esigning and engineering an RV is always a compromise, not only between balancing equipment and floorplans and price points, but also in creating “people” environments. In a family coach, that oftentimes means leaning toward maximizing comfort and conveniences for the adults most likely to occupy the coach.

Not so in REV RV Group’s 2024 Holiday Rambler Invicta 36Y or its sister model, the Fleetwood Fortis 36Y.

“One thing we found that was missing in the marketplace was a floorplan that not only gave kids a place to sleep but also a place to go, especially in a shorter gas motorhome,” said Doug Miller, product manager for REV’s Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler and American Coach divisions. “So, the front living portion of this floorplan is used on another of our products and, we’ve found, works great for families, for entertaining — but we wanted to do something totally different in the back and create a space that nobody has today.”

What REV did was to reverse the typical bath-and-a-half floorplan, bringing the full bath to the center of the 38-foot, 11-inch, 30,000-pound (GVWR) motorhome and placing the half-bath at the rear – where it’s part of a “Kid’s Kave” that includes a wardrobe, jackknife sofa, TV and bunks in an area that can be closed off from the rest of the coach.

Mom and dad’s bedroom — also capable of being closed off — is between the Kid’s Kave and the center bath (the bed is in a curbside slideout), while the 36Y also features a forward jackknife sofa and a Hide-A-Loft electric drop-down bed.

The $254,884 MSRP Invicta 36Y also carries a host of high-end features, from its solid-surface countertops and full glass backsplash to the fully outfitted high-end galley, solid hardwood doors and drawers, luxury vinyl tile floors and full body paint with a double clear coat.

egardless of whether it’s building a trailer in the motorsport, industrial, fiber-splicing or RV sectors, inTech RV enjoys a reputation for quality and customer service. That will continue with the company’s new Black Wing series of toy haulers.

Boasting inTech’s signature build process – an aluminum cage completely welded together — the new Black Wings also features an aluminum floor with aluminum cabinets built in-house. All other components are composite with absolutely no wood anywhere in the unit.

“In this unit, you can get it as wet as you want to,” said Keith Fishburn, inTech sales manager, referring to the 828. “If you get dirty equipment in here, you can just hose this thing out and not worry about anything getting ruined or rotting.”

Those aluminum cabinets, he added, also got a lot of attention. “We did a lot of work to take aluminum cabinetry and give it a nice European clean finish without any exposed latches,” he said.

Soft rubber mats can be easily removed for cleaning and provide a comfortable floor surface and improves acoustics when the garage area is not being used to park the toys. Features here also include a 40-gallon fuel fill station and onboard A/C generator.

The Black Wing 828 stretches 28 feet and carries a 6,000-pound GVWR. Inside, it features a “massive” wet bath, full slideout kitchen and a separate bedroom with queen-sized bed, fireplace and sliding barn door to close it off.

The exterior of the unit stands out with a unique design that incorporates wedged angles on the front corners that improve aerodynamics while also providing added storage space. MSRP for the 828 is expected to be about $75,000, while a smaller 7-foot-wide, 20-foot-long model with a 4,000-pound GVWR will retail for about $45,000. The smaller version comes with the same all-aluminum composite construction, but offers a tip-out tent, a dropdown bunk and sleeper sofa.

Storyteller Overland GVX Hilt

S

toryteller Overland made a name for itself with its Class B adventure vehicles. Now, the Birmingham, Ala.-based company has seriously amped up its off-road, off-grid factor with the launch of its beast of a Super C motorhome, the GXV Hilt.

Trent Tiffin, general manager and senior vice president of Global Expedition Vehicles for Storyteller Overland, said the Hilt is designed and built to go where other RVs fear to tread. Much of that has to do with the fact that the Hilt is built upon the Ram 5500 chassis powered by a Cummins 6.7-liter diesel engine, a LiquidSpring active hydraulic Smart Suspension System and four 41-inch military-grade tires. It also features a proprietary Zero Torsion Subframe system that allows independent movement of the capsule from the chassis.

Notably, the shell of the Hilt is covered with a vacuum-infused resin composite with carbon fiber and Kevlar reinforcement for added strength and durability. Built for serious off-grid adventures, the motorhome also features closed-cell acoustic and thermal insulation, dual-pane acrylic windows, a 120-gallon freshwater tank (with its own built-in water filtration system), a 40-gallon gray water tank, 52-gallon fuel tank, 16.8 kWh lithium-ion M-Power System (with two 3,000-watt, high-efficiency inverters) and 1,325 watts of sustainable power solar panels on its roof.

While the 28-foot, 17,500-pound motorhome’s exterior is rugged, Storyteller Overland offers plenty of creature comforts inside, including a cabover loft queen bed and a dinette at the rear of the vehicle that also converts to a queen bed. The full-size wet bath offers 6 feet, 5 inches of standing room while the kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, including a fridge and freezer offering 6.9 cubic feet of space, convection oven, microwave, air fryer and an 1,800-watt dual burner induction cooktop that can be removed and used for outdoor cooking. MSRPs start in the low $400,000s.
