Hose-Grip
Get a Grip!
Sometimes, little things take on an oversize importance — like trying to attach a freshwater hose between your RV and the campsite water spigot. The solution? The folks at J. Wright Concepts developed the Hose-Grip, an 8-inch assembly that attaches easily to any RV water hose. The ergonomic design of the Grip makes attaching and removal of the hose at the faucet a breeze for anyone with limited hand dexterity. The Grip features nickel-plated male and female fittings combined with a hydraulically crimped Water Right polyurethane hose with a burst pressure of more than 300 psi, exceeding virtually all pressure standards you might find in your travels. There also are 3- and 6-foot versions available, which work great for customers who use an inline water filter. J Wright Concepts, (916) 955-0048, https://rvcablegrip.com
DuraLite Portable Solar Kit
A Sunny Disposition
Tapping the sun’s solar power is key to boondocking — but portable solar kits are oftentimes heavy and unwieldy. The DuraLite Portable Solar Kit from Go Power! Provides 100 watts of solar-charging power, but weighs just 10 pounds. The kit features integrated kickstands, rigid plastic handles with built-in USB chargers, a built-in 30-amp PWM lithium-capable solar controller to prevent batteries from overcharging and magnetic closures to keep panels protected in transit. Also included with the kit are battery clamps, quick connectors, ring-terminal connectors, a 12-foot cable and XLR-style and SAE solar plug adapters. The kit is expandable for up to 300 watts of power. Go Power!, (866) 247-6572, gpelectric.com

Buff Magic Compound
Feeling Buff
Over time, even the most pampered RV will begin to lose its luster as UV rays, dirt, road salt and moisture take their toll. Buff Magic Compound from Shurhold is a one-step reconditioner and restorer said to be effective on a wide range of surfaces. And,unlike traditional buffing methods, Buff Magic’s unique formula breaks down as it’s used: the material’s abrasives diminish to become smaller. So while it’s tough enough to remove fiberglass oxidation, it also can be used on more delicate materials like Plexiglass. Applied byhand or machine, Buff Magic contains no fillers, making it cost-effective. Shurhold, (800) 962-6241, shurhold.com
Stable Stix
Ground Control
Truck campers will sometimes sway as they sit on their jacks. It doesn’t matter how big or heavy they are, they’re still susceptible to moving as you walk around inside — to say nothing of the effect high winds or unstable positioning will have on the camper. Stable Stix from Rieco-Titan are manufactured of strong, square steel tubing that provides stable reinforcement of the overhang by triangulating each side while connected at their base by a ratcheting strap. According to Rieco-Titan, Stable Stix can be set up in just two minutes and the powder-coated tubes are adjustable from 68 inches to 86 inches; they close down to just 47 inches for easy storage and are American-made. ProSmart App
Monitoring Magic
Onboard monitoring systems are a rising trend in the RV industry today, but ProSmart from BMPRO takes it to another level. Consisting of a powered node, Bluetooth sensors and a downloadable app, ProSmart enables users to monitor functions as varied as tire pressure, propane tank levels, temperature (even in the refrigerator), fresh- and greywater holding tank levels and battery status. Powered by the vehicle’s 12-volt battery, ProSmart includes a SmartLink powered node that’s installed near and connected to the battery. The ProSmart app syncs with SmartLink and the sensors are paired up to your smartphone. The system, which will connect up to 40 sensors, can also be integrated into an RV’s existing power-management system. BMPRO USA, (574) 322-4934, teambmpro.com/rv-control-monitor-systems/

Stepping Out in Style
MORryde made a big impact on RV life when it introduced the StepAbove, which mounted solidly to the RV entry while also reaching all the way to the ground to create a firm support. This spring, the company debuted its “next generation” StepAbove to the aftermarket, offering a number of improvements. With a wider top step, the new units also eliminate the pins in the adjustable legs. Instead, the next-generation StepAbove has a quick-trigger leg; with a push of a lever, the legs drop down, find equilibrium and lock into place. Once the legs are lowered, triggers on either side are activated to lower the unit. The new steps also allow for adjusting the amount of space the stairs take up when lowered, and a quick-release hinge makes it easy to move them out of the way. MORryde, (574) 293-1581, morryde.com
