Sure, the story lines highlighted on the cover tend to provide all the impetus for sticking the publication in the grocery basket — but most do-it-yourselfers are nonetheless extremely interested in “the next big thing” they can integrate into their favorite ride.

Anyone spinning wrenches on RVs is likewise prone to ferreting out the latest products that can make life easier, more comfortable or simply more interesting and enjoyable while on the road. Plus, let’s face it: we all like to be on the cutting edge of new technology.

And it’s only going to get better. During what may well be remembered as “the COVID years,” there wasn’t a whole lot of innovation going on; with supply-chain issues, RV dealers were buying pretty much whatever they could find and suppliers were simply trying to keep the parts-and-accessories pipeline full. Now, those same suppliers have begun turning up the wick on new designs, many of which were no doubt already in the planning stages but couldn’t be put into production.

If there’s a downside, it’s that the places where suppliers showcase their new products — RV industry distributor shows — are closed to the public. Most RVers will never know what’s in the parts pipeline until it shows up on a shelf. Fortunately, readers of RV Enthusiast don’t have to wait: our partnership with RVBusiness, the nation’s premier RV trade journal, means that we can bring you news on the latest components as they are released.
